Design

Design a custom watch winder.

How do we turn our design into a working product?

What to check

The brief called for a special watch-winder structure. Sunyung worked with the brand on structural development, rather than treating an existing model as the finished answer.

Define what must be distinctive: proportions, opening experience, winding layout and brand details.

Project scope: custom structural development

Leather texture A photograph suggests a direction. A physical sample establishes the selected material’s feel and appearance.
Lining & hardware Look at the covering, lining, hardware and edge finishing together as one product.

Materials

Choose the leather and finish.

Will the finish match our expectations?

What to check

Genuine-leather sampling was part of the development work. The team reviewed physical samples alongside the structural design.

Review a physical swatch and finished sample for grain, colour, stitching, lining and edge treatment.

Project scope: genuine-leather sampling

Function & fit Agree how winding operation, clearances, hardware and internal fit will be checked.
Approval reference Keep the approved sample, specification and agreed inspection criteria connected to the order.

Sample review

Review the sample.

What should we approve before production?

What to check

For a similar project, use the developed sample to define what your team will approve. Record the specification and agree the checks that matter for your product and market.

Confirm appearance, fit, winding function, packaging and any required test documentation before committing to production.

Buyer guidance for your project

A consistent reference Use the agreed sample and specification as the basis for discussing repeat production.
Future collections Bring anticipated quantities, new formats and launch plans into the next development conversation.

Repeat orders

Plan the next order.

How will future orders match the approved product?

What to check

The reported outcome was repeat orders from the brand. For your own collection, discuss how approved details, material changes and future requirements will be managed as the relationship develops.

Agree the reference for repeat orders and how any changes to materials, components or specifications will be reviewed.

Reported project outcome: repeat orders
